China tests high-thrust liquid oxygen-kerosene engine for manned rocket

A high-thrust liquid oxygen-kerosene engine designed to power China's new-generation manned rocket has completed a 300-second fire test, said the Academy of Aerospace Liquid Propulsion Technology (AALPT). Since September 28, the engine has completed three successful test runs, totaling 650 seconds, said AALPT, a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. This marks a breakthrough in the key technology of this type of engine and lays a solid foundation for the development of China's new-generation manned rocket.
