China, Pakistan joint metro construction employs thousands in Lahore

      Pakistan's first-ever metro service, the eco-friendly Orange Line built jointly with #China in #Lahore, the capital of Punjab Province has greatly improved local transportation and created significant job numbers. Officially open to traffic on October 25, 2020, the Orange Line was an early project within the China-#Pakistan Economic Corridor (#CPEC), a flagship project of China's Belt and Road Initiative.
