Writer Alai remembers the 2008 Sichuan earthquake in poetic work 'In the Cloud'

        Writer Alai was among the first volunteers to arrive at the epicenter after an #earthquake hit Sichuan Province in Southwest #China on May 12, 2008, causing tens of thousands of deaths and widespread damage. Ten years on, Alai wrote the novel "In the Cloud," in which he attempts to come to terms with the earthquake's aftermath through poetic narrative.
