Watch: Explore Shelek wind farm – a sustainable triumph on the New Silk Road

      The Shelek Wind Power Station in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan is a new achievement of the joint construction by China and Kazakhstan under the Belt and Road Initiative. It is also a key project of China-Kazakh new energy cooperation. The first phase has an installed capacity of 60 megawatts, and all 24 wind turbines have been put into operation. It provides clean electricity for approximately 70,000 users in the Almaty region. At the same time, it can reduce local carbon dioxide emissions by 160,000 tonnes annually. #TheNewSilkRoad
