Domestic green fuel first used in Chinese commercial flight
The use of made-in-China green fuel was verified in a commercial flight on Friday. The test flight from Hangzhou to Beijing was carried out by an Airbus A350 wide-body aircraft. About 10 percent of the plane's fuel was sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from a domestic supplier. This flight was China's first commercial flight using domestic SAF conducted on a wide-body airliner. SAF is widely seen as an important way to reduce carbon emissions in aviation.
