Shangri-La Dialogue on Global Security
Defense ministers exchanged views on Asia's most pressing security challenges at the just-concluded Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. Chinese State Councilor and Defense Minister Li Shangfu delivered a speech calling for comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security. Li stressed that the Taiwan question is a matter for the Chinese to decide. He also elaborated on China's standing on the South China Sea and the China-U.S. relations.
