China, Arab states promise future of friendship and cooperation

      On December 9, Chinese President Xi Jinping, leaders of 21 Arab League countries, the secretary-general of the League of Arab States, and representatives of other international organizations attended the first China-Arab States Summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. President Xi delivered a keynote speech titled "Carrying Forward the Spirit of China-Arab Friendship and Jointly Building a China-Arab Community with a Shared Future in the New Era" at the summit. Xi said the summit is a milestone in the history of China-Arab relations and will take China and Arab states to a more promising future of friendship and cooperation.
