China-Germany ties: Ex-German defense chief speaks on security

      German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's recent visit to China, the first time since he took office in 2021, proved to be productive. China and Germany agreed to step up cooperation in trade and investment, manufacturing and COVID-19 response. They sought better mutual trust despite a complex global landscape.
