China's ecological civilization goal

      China's green development has been baked into the blueprint of a modern socialist country presented at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Xi Jinping said China has made progress in caring for the environment over the last 10 years. He stressed the need for harmony between humanity and nature as part of progress. He sought to speed up green development efforts, with better pollution prevention and control, and enhanced wildlife habitats. He cited the goals of peaking carbon emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. We look at how China intends to achieve its ecological civilization goal.
